Since it’s inception in the spring of 2003 and launch party at Suede Lounge, Mx has become a name brand in networking events specializing in the media industry and promotions. With an eclectic mix of clientele, Mx has become a great source for people to network in an intimate setting and also enjoy an evening of having fun. The big idea originated when Miguel Heredia and Rich Malave decided to team up and create a “new” networking party for creative people by creative people. There was only one catch, no pretense, no harassing nametags, just after work fun and if you met someone you could possibly work with, then mission accomplished. This unique meet and greet not only opens up doors to various artists, television, film and multimedia industries but also introduces your space to a whole new crowd…a very sophisticated, upscale crowd of movers and shakers.
The success of Mx is based on its philosophy of “Promotion and exposure through partnerships” while staying true to its “Creative comes first” Philosophy.
Would you like to fill up your space during after work hours? Need an event to keep it going till regular club hours? This is where Mx comes in. Many of the individuals and companies involved in Mx often find themselves heading back to the clubs and lounges that sponsor an Mx event. Mx has a well-established reputation and clientele that fall under young to seasoned media professionals, entrepreneurs, artists, the media industry and more. We bring the DJ's, the crowd, add creative content, promote the event and fill your space after work.

What we do...Networking parties that rock!
What we got?
A nice eclectic faithful crowd of 200+ minimum. A bucket full of established creative companies and individuals making their mark in the broadcast-media industry. These are the people behind the scenes of your entertainment. Our own crew of talented DJ's that will keep your booty shaking all night long. From hip hop to rock and everything in between. Artists, musicians, producers, promoters, freaks and geeks. All mixing it up after work for several hours to blow off some steam or drum up some business.
How we do it?
We promote the event via email, online and word of mouth, document it and add visual content such as video, reels, art and bring in sponsors. Mx has had
successful events at Suede, Frederick's, Mission, Avalon, Earth, Plan B, Fly Lounge D.C. and more. We are mostly looking for venues and lounges in the New York City area accessible after work. Preferably Thursdays or Friday night. We do this quarterly, so it's not played out and stale. Mx'ers love to dance, drink and Mix it up @ Mx.
What you get?
Your space filled if you don't have a happy hour or after work crowd. A eclectic crowd of professionals who create their own events and promotions introduced to your space. We're not talking just club kids, (they are invited too!) but media insiders who work hard and play even harder. We don't want to shut down your space just for us...keep it open, the more the merrier. We don't want to charge a cover, that money is for the cash bar after some freebies.
